Catechesis of the Good Shepherd ProgramAn alternative to religious education, this faith formation program for children ages 3-13 is a Montessori based approach to the spiritual development of the child. Based entirely on scripture and liturgy, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd resides in a specially prepared environment called the Atrium. The hands on materials used to present lessons are designed to speak to the children in a special way, and are dynamic, interactive, and multi-sensory. Weekly sessions run from mid-September to mid-May after school; children are grouped into one of three levels depending on their age/grade. Ninety plus hours of specialized training is required of catechists in their respective level in order to provide a theologically sound program (including sacramental preparation) to encourage and facilitate your child's faith formation.
