Boy Scouts

Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA, is available to boys who have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old.

The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing leadership, character, citizenship, and personal fitness thru community service projects, advancement, skill development and mentoring. Boy Scout Troop 64 was founded in 1928 and is now sponsored and chartered by St. Gabriel Parish.

The Troop usually meets weekly on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m.to 8:30 p.m.

Please check Upcoming Adventures for specific room information.

There is participation flexibility to accommodate young men who participate in sports programs or other activities that may conflict occasionally. The Troop also has a website.

Troop 64 holds a number of activities throughout the year and attends a week long summer resident camp and, participates in a Klondike Derby (January) and has traditionally held a Spring Backpacking Trek to the Allegheny National Forest and hiked in New Mexico and the Great Smoky Mountains.  Click here to view our photo album

Troop 64 has a proud reputation of helping young men earn the prestigious Eagle Scout award. St. Gabriel's own Father Bob Kropac is an Eagle Scout from Troop 64 as is Judge Mike Cicconetti.

Please contact one of the adult leaders below to learn more about how Scouting and Troop 64 help young men develop leadership and responsibility while participating in a variety of fun and educational programs.
