St. Gabriel Worship and Prayer

We are called to foster, plan and celebrate prayerful, relevant and welcoming liturgical experiences by engaging the entire community in "full, conscious, and active participation" so that we may go forth to love and serve the Lord.

usher-st-gabrielLet your welcome and your smile be for all who enter;
Seek out the lost, lend a hand and an arm
Greet each person as the Lord!

When your brothers and sisters thank you for your work, take delight in the welcome they have found, and rejoice in the work the Lord has accomplished through you.
(Austin Fleming in "Preparing for Liturgy: A Theology and Sprituality." Chicago: LTP, 1997, 106-107)

Women, men and teens welcome and assist with seating, distribution of bulletins, facilitate the monetary offering and direct the presentation of gifts at all Sunday and Holy Day Liturgies.

Training and recertification in the use of the AED and CPR take place on a regular basis.
