EDGE Grades 6-8

St. Gabriel PSR EDGE Grades 6-8 meets on Wednesdays, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, in the Day School building. Beginning this fall (2024), we will be bringing an exciting new combined large group model to PSR and Youth Ministry called EDGE Ministry. EDGE is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program for students in grades 6-8. It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. EDGE resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of middle school youth. EDGE will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30pm in Brady Hall. It will be a three-year curriculum cycle. Registration for Edge is open to all students in grades 6-8. All are Welcome. Evenings will be led by a team of adult core members and high school teen core members. Our sessions will begin with a large group game and teaching followed by small group discussion. Through this new fun, engaging, and active model, we hope to build community within our middle school students and prepare them for the Sacrament of Confirmation which takes place in 9th grade. Each week our goal will be to bring a new sense of excitement and belonging for the youth, so that they may know they are loved by God.
