Power of Prayer
For each prayer shawl, prayers of hope and comfort are said from the first stitch to the last stitch for the shawl recipient. They are wrapped and blessed with a guardian angel medal and prayer card. Members continue to pray for those who have received a shawl. Prayer Shawls can be picked up at any time at the Parish Office. All are Welcome! If you don’t know how to knit or crochet or are just a beginner, you are more than welcome to become a member. Our members are more than willing to help you learn. If a prayer shawl seems too big to start, you can make a hat or scarf to be donated to the Community Day of Service in November. Please consider joining, even if you cannot attend the meetings. Our History Our Prayer Shawl Ministry was formed in 2010 and is based upon the Prayer Shawl Ministry (shawlminstry.com) which began in 1998. Our ministry has grown tenfold over the years! Come join us for fun, fellowship, prayer and support! We meet on the second and fourth Thursday of the month, from 10:00 am to Noon, in the Community Room.
